Camelot Homes has received Gold Nugget honors in PCBC’s annual competition, which honors architectural design and planning excellence and draws entries throughout the United States and internationally.

Camelot Homes earned Merit Award honors for its White Horse community in North Scottsdale, which was honored for Best Single Family Detached Home 3,500-4,500 square feet (Cheval floorplan), Best Single Family Detached Home over 4,500 square feet (Cavallo floorplan), and Best Indoor/Outdoor Lifestyle for a Home (Cavallo and also Equus floorplans).

White Horse is an iconic new community representing the pinnacle of Camelot’s experience in luxury homes. The light, bright and modern homes reflect a true paradigm shift in new home design with more outdoor space, options and flexibility to raise the standard of luxury living. Homes range from 4,000 to 6,000 square feet. The gated community is located off Pima Road and Los Gatos Drive, adjacent to DC Ranch in North Scottsdale. Homes prices are from the high $1 millions.

More than half sold since its grand opening in February, White Horse has drawn 1,000 potential buyers on many weekends. Bob White with Forest Studio, of Laguna Beach, Calif., served as the architect and Pacific Dimensions, Inc., of El Segundo, Calif., served as the interior designer. White Horse recently won Best Detached Product Design for its price point at the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona’s 2018 MAME Awards.

“White Horse has been a personal passion project for our family. We extensively researched talented architects and interior designers, pursued our vision of indoor and outdoor resort living and incorporated personal touches on the homes,” said Cammie Hancock Beckert, managing director of Camelot Homes. “Camelot Homes is thrilled White Horse has been so warmly received.”

The Grand Awards will be chosen from the Merit Award winners and announced on June 28 in San Francisco as a feature highlight of PCBC, the nation’s largest regional conference and trade show for the real estate development industry.

“Gold Nugget Award winners reflect our industry’s best, brightest and most innovative architects, planners and builder/developers,” said Judging Chairman and Gold Nugget ceremonies administrator Lisa Parrish.

Now in it’s 55th year, Gold Nugget Awards is the largest and most prestigious competition of its kind in the nation. It honors design and planning achievements in community and home design, green-built housing, site planning, commercial, retail, mixed-use development and specialty housing categories. Winners this year were chosen from over 600 entries from around the world.
