Tempe residents will have a new legendary deep dish pizza place as Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, based in Northbrook, IL, is slated to open their eighth location in the Valley on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. The 4,900-square-foot space will be a full-service restaurant and bar offering dine-in, carryout and delivery services, located at 27 South McClintock Drive, near the corner of East Rio Salado Pkwy and South McClintock Drive in Tempe. The new Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria is located in Tempe Marketplace in a free standing retail building, adjacent to Barrio Queen and The Keg Steakhouse with other local favorites. It’s situated along the Salt River near the interchange of Loop 101 and 202 in the heart of the Valley.

Local fans can satisfy their craving for Lou Malnati’s award-winning deep dish pizza by choosing dine-in, carryout, curbside pick-up, no-contact delivery and drop off catering services. The Tempe restaurant will feature a dining room, full-service bar and outdoor patio. It will seat approximately 150 guests between indoor and outdoor dining. The delicious menu is highlighted by the legendary deep dish pizza and offers thin crust along with signature appetizers, salads, pastas and desserts. The store hours will be Monday – Thursday from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., Friday – Saturday from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. daily. Lou Malnati’s opened its first restaurant in Phoenix in 2016, followed by locations in Arcadia, Glendale, Gilbert, Mesa, Scottsdale, and most recently in Chandler in April 2022. The new restaurant will offer a deep dish dining experience for hungry fans in the Tempe area.
Malnati’s will hire approximately 100 local employees and is seeking bartenders, servers, delivery drivers, kitchen crew, phone staff and team members. The company is currently hiring and holding interviews at the training center, located between DSW and Massage Envy, during construction.
