Italian Beach Club – Step into a sun-drenched Italian beach club, where the air is filled with the scent of salty sea breezes and freshly squeezed citrus. The space is a lively tribute to Italy’s coastal charm, bathed in warm, sun-kissed shades of orange—from striped parasols and plush lounge chairs to vibrant floral arrangements that spill over terracotta planters. At the heart of the scene is a quaint Negroni bar – its polished wood counter lined with glistening bottles of Campari and vermouth. The bartender, dressed in crisp white linen, stirs the perfect Negroni, pouring it over a crystal-clear ice block while classic Italian jazz hums in the background. Nearby, a vintage orange Vespa sits as the ultimate picture-perfect backdrop. As evening falls, black-and-white Italian films flicker on an outdoor projector, casting nostalgic scenes of La Dolce Vita against the walls. This beach club is an effortless blend of retro glamour and modern-day escapism—an unforgettable slice of Italian Riviera magic.

Dia De Los Muertos – This enchanting outdoor space is a celebration of rich Hispanic culture, where tradition and artistry come together. Cobblestone pathways lead to hand-painted tile mosaics and walls adorned with exquisite art, depicting stories of resilience, faith, and festivity in vivid strokes of red, gold and cobalt blue. A towering church steeple is the focal point of this area and stands as a timeless symbol of devotion, its whitewashed exterior glowing softly as the sun sets. Whether sharing a meal under a canopy of string lights or admiring the hand-painted murals that capture the spirit of the land, this space is a living testament to Hispanic heritage—a place where history, art, and community come alive under the open sky.

Cheeky Springs – This stylish retreat features a vintage Spartan trailer and an inviting outdoor patio deck, creating a chic mid-century oasis infused with classic Palm Springs charm. Every detail exudes retro glamour and effortless sophistication, from the expertly crafted cocktails to the whimsical, cheeky wallpaper—true to the venue’s name—that adds a playful touch. The nostalgic ambiance, enhanced by thoughtful design elements, offers the perfect shaded escape for guests to unwind in style.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun – Step into a bold and playful space centered around a vibrant pink, vintage Spartan trailer, where guests can enjoy signature cocktails like the “Girl Dinner” and “Through the Looking Glass.” The trailer is set against a backdrop of colorful art murals celebrating female empowerment—because girls just wanna have fun! Sip on your drink with complimentary rose-colored lenses that reveal hidden UV artwork, adding a playful, interactive twist. Shade coverings create the perfect lively, carefree hangout spot for all the girlies to gather year-round to enjoy a fun atmosphere where vibrant energy and girl power take center stage.

Japanese Garden – Step into an ethereal Japanese garden where nature and artistry intertwine in a mesmerizing dance of tranquility and mystery. The entire space is enveloped in lush greenery, delicate leaves glowing with an otherworldly red backlight.  A hush lingers in the air, broken only by the gentle rustling of bamboo and the soothing trickle of a koi-filled stream. As guests wander deeper, the feeling of serenity and enchantment washes over, creating an intimate retreat where time slows, and every element whispers a story of balance, beauty, and quiet reflection.

1980s Bronx – A edgy, urban rendition of a 1980s Bronx back alley, this charming corner is reimagined with a grungy Spartan taxi as its centerpiece and will function as a bar. The space pulses with old-school graffiti vibes, evoking the raw energy of the streets, while a skateboard drink rail adds to the gritty yet stylish backdrop that blends nostalgia and attitude.

In addition to 10+ unique concepts spread throughout the property offering several rotating signature cocktail lists, guests can fill up with a wide-ranging selection of tasty menu items including elote deviled eggs, pretzel bites, flatbreads, sliders and more.

Built within and surrounding the historic Sarah H. Pemberton house, The Pemberton previously operated as a site for rotating local vendors until 2024, when creator Jonathon Vento temporarily closed the business to shift efforts to fully reimagining the space into the multi-concept entertainment venue it is now.

“I love Phoenix, I love the Valley, I love Arizona and I wanted to provide a “gift” to the community – a place where everyone feels welcome and all walks of life can enjoy and escape the negativity in the world,” said Jonathon Vento, creator of The Pemberton.

The Pemberton proudly partnered with multiple local charity organizations to benefit from its highly anticipated grand opening weekend March 14-17, including one-n-tenRosie’s HouseThe Garment League, and Valley Youth Theatre. In total, nearly $30,000 was raised to support some of the Valley’s most prominent LGBTQ+, arts and culture and youth-focused nonprofits.

The Pemberton is located at 1121 N. 2nd St. in Phoenix and is open Wednesday 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday and Friday 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Must be 21 and over after 8 p.m. Live music and other activations will be performed regularly throughout the week.
