We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center earns AAA Four Diamond Award

For the 14th consecutive year since it opened its doors in November 2005, the We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center has received AAA’s prestigious Four Diamond Award.

One of the few hotel appraisal systems that depends on physical evaluations, AAA’s Diamond Rating is determined by a team of inspectors that review more than 27,000 eligible properties based on comfort, cleanliness, security, and available services and amenities.

Only 1,722 – or 6.3 percent – of the more than 27,000 AAA-inspected and -approved hotels earned Four Diamond distinction this year.  To receive such designation, an establishment must be “refined, stylish with upscale physical attributes, extensive amenities and a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail.”  Only 14 other properties in Scottsdale received this illustrious distinction.

“Being honored with such consistent industry recognition since our first year of operation speaks to the dedication, passion and guest-centric focus of our highly talented resort team,” said Craig Benell, director of hotel operations of the We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center, an enterprise of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation.  “We’re unveiling a new, state-of-the-art casino next year, which will allow even more guests to experience our award-winning luxury desert oasis.”
