Patrick Doyle

The Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas announced that Patrick Doyle has joined the resort as executive chef. Doyle brings more than two decades of experience, most recently as the Chef de Cuisine and executive chef at the Arizona Biltmore.

Chef Doyle’s appointment comes during the resort and restaurant’s renovation. The refresh of the BlueFire Grille, set to re-open mid-December, is part of a $5 million renovation to the resort.

With a complimentary combination of Irish and Mexican heritage, Chef Doyle brings a sequence of culture and comfort food to the BlueFire Grille’s new menu. His dedication to local ingredients is just a piece of the reimagining of the southwest bistro. The new menu is set to include southwestern flair including the Black & Blue desert flat, Icon Burger and Vegetarian Roasted Vegetable Enchiladas.

In addition to tantalizing new food entrees, guests can also sip a cutting-edge cocktail like the “The New Fashioned” or “Acai Margarita” from the bar, now nearly three times its original size or from the newly designed pool area. These cocktails stem from Ryan Newell, the mixologist responsible for the extensive wine, beer and specialty drink list now part of the BlueFire Grille’s 2016 menu.

In addition to the restaurant, the remodel includes modernized updates to the meeting space, resort Villas, pool area and lobby entry. Each element of this renovation provides increased enjoyment for leisure travelers and business travelers alike.

The resort renovation includes:

  • Meeting Space Renovation:  New carpet and wall vinyl in Grand Ballroom and new carpet in Sonora Ballroom with new banquet chairs.
  • Guestrooms:  All new soft seating in guest rooms, new lighting package in all guest rooms, and new window treatments, all of which enhance the renovations completed in 2013. New guest room corridor carpeting and wall vinyl.
  • Restaurant:  Complete restaurant renovation to include structural and cosmetic changes, increase size of the bar, new indoor and outdoor tables and chairs.
  • Lobby: All glass windows along the lobby and the restaurant have been replaced with retractable glass doors.
  • Oasis Bar and Grill: Enhancements to include up lighting and bar top renovations, additional TVs, additional seating and new bar furniture.
  • Pool:  All new pool and patio furniture to include cabanas with lighting and fans.
  • Villas:  New carpeting, window treatments, all new soft seating in the living rooms including bar stools, dining table chairs, sofa and chairs and desk chair.

The final renovations will reach completion in January, but the resort remains fully functioning during the update process.
