Northbrook, Illinois based Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria announces today it will officially make Glendale home to its fourth Arizona location.  The pizzeria is slated to open in spring at 75th Avenue and Rose Garden in a new development.  The construction will begin this winter with plans for an early spring 2020 opening.

Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria opened up shop in the Valley in 2016, with its first location at Camelback and Central in Phoenix.  Locations in Arcadia and Scottsdale have since followed.  The 2,000 square foot space in Glendale will not include a dining room, but will offer carry-out, delivery, and drop off catering services for hungry fans.  Malnati’s will hire approximately 50 local employees and plans to hold a hiring event in the coming months.

The Malnati family has become famous for their original recipe, and top-notch quality and hospitality since opening in 1971.  Today the business is headed by Lou’s son, Marc Malnati.  He notes that although this is the fourth Arizona location, Glendale and the West Valley has long been part of their expansion plans.  The Chicago Deep Dish Pizzeria wants to provide a taste of Chicago to the Windy City transplants and local residents in the Valley.

“Since our first location opened in Arizona, we’ve been welcomed with open arms and are so grateful to our loyal fan base,” Marc Malnati said in a statement. “Our team is excited to head west within the Valley and make a home in the vibrant and thriving city of Glendale.”

In addition to serving up their famous deep dish, the company strives to become engrained in the communities they serve.  They will look to continue their tradition of generosity through fundraising and youth incentive programs to local schools, generous donations program, and working with local charitable organizations in Glendale and the surrounding communities.
