Halloween in Metro Phoenix has grown into its own season — part neighborhood tradition, part full‑scale entertainment circuit. From long‑running haunted attractions to family‑friendly festivals, pop‑up experiences, themed bar nights and sprawling community events, October now feels like a month‑long mix of nostalgia and spectacle. What follows is a look at the standout Halloween activities across Metro Phoenix.

13th Floor Haunted House Phoenix and Fear Farm
The 13th Floor Haunted House Phoenix and Fear Farm are returning. Fear Farm continues through Nov 13, while 13th Floor Haunted House Phoenix continues through Nov. 1.
Fear Farm returns with carnival rides, interactive experiences and a collection of new nightmares. At the center of this year’s lineup is Jason Universe: Survive the Night, an officially licensed walkthrough haunted attraction. Jason Voorhees, the masked slasher from the “Friday the 13th” franchise, has stabbed his way through nightmares for years. Guests will come face-to-face with Jason as they feel his terrifying presence around every turn. Guests can extend the experience with Jason Universe: Director’s Cut, a separate interactive add-on that places them in the director’s chair and lets them determine Jason’s next move.
Fear Farm will also introduce three new haunted attractions. In Beyond the Veil, Mr. Tasty’s Funhouse and The Siren’s Wake.

Boo Arizona
Insomniac is presenting the music festival Boo Arizona Friday, Oct. 30, to Saturday, Oct. 31, at WestWorld of Scottsdale, 16601 N. Pima Rd., Scottsdale. Slated to appear are The Chainsmokers, Deorro, LevelUp, Restricted, Zedd, James Hype, ACRAZE, Dombresky, JSTJR, Seven Lions and Trym.
Tickets start at $73.99.
Desert Ridge Marketplace
North Phoenix’s Desert Ridge Marketplace, in partnership with the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, is celebrating fall with the Creepy Candy Crawl: Heroes vs. Villains from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23.
Families can go trick-or-treating throughout Desert Ridge, while VIP experiences including Hero School and a “Bibbidi Bobbidi”-inspired experience featuring a cape, mask, treat and toy, will be available for purchase. Proceeds from VIP tickets benefit Make-A-Wish Arizona. Desert Ridge Marketplace is located at 21001 N. Tatum Blvd., Phoenix.
Downtown Mesa’s Haunting on Main Street
Get into the Halloween spirit at Downtown Mesa’s annual Haunting on Main Street from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24. Families are invited to bring their little ghosts, goblins and superheroes to Main Street for a morning of safe trick-or-treating at participating Downtown businesses. In addition to collecting candy and goodies, attendees can enjoy festive games, crafts, cotton candy and other family-friendly activities along Macdonald and Main Street. Costumes are encouraged for this free community event.
Drunk Dracula
Drunk Shakespeare is resurrecting “Drunk Dracula” through Sunday, Nov. 1. During “Drunk Dracula,” one actor gets drunk while the rest of the cast tries to survive. Bram Stoker’s classic gets a boozy makeover.
The shows are held at The Rose Theatre at the Arizona Center, 455 N. Third St., Suite 1010, Phoenix. Craft cocktails and snacks are available for purchase during all performances.
Tickets for the 90-minute show start at $49.
Ghosts & Goodies at The Shops at Norterra
The Shops at Norterra is hosting Ghosts & Goodies from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18. This free, family-friendly event transforms the open-air shopping destination into a festive Halloween experience. Ghosts & Goodies will have a candy crawl, costumes, haunted trackless train rides, spooktacular games, photo ops with “Wicked”-inspired costume characters, entertainment, and prizes. Guess travel through Norterra businesses and collect special offers to use after the event.
Haunts on High Street
Haunts on High Street hosts spooky fun from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17. The day kicks off with a free Candy Crawl, during which families can dress up, trick-or-treat throughout the property, and spot costumed characters along the way.
From 8 to 11 p.m., guests 21 and older can grab their friends, dress in costume, and join the Zombie Pub Crawl. Both events are free, with check-in at Fountain Court 30 minutes before each crawl. High Street is at the Loop 101 and State Route 51.
Heidi’s Village Fall Festival
Heidi’s Village is hosting a free fall festival from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at 600 N. 40th St., Phoenix. The event will feature adoptions from Heidi’s and their rescue partners, tour opportunities of the facilities and shopping with location vendors. There will also be a trunk-or-treat being hosted for kids.
The Hot Chick
The Scooby-Doo-themed Spooky Island, a limited-time pop-up inspired by nostalgic mystery-solving adventures, takes over The Hot Chick in Old Town Scottsdale. Running through Nov. 1, Spooky Island is an immersive-themed décor, spooky photo ops and a lineup of seasonal cocktails and bites. Menu highlights include Scooby Snack, Ruh Roh Rita, Jinkies Juice, Piña Ghoulada, Spooky Island Punch and the Super Shaggy Sandwich.
Hotel Adeline
Old Town’s Hotel Adeline will transform its Straight Up Speakeasy into a Haunted Hideaway through Oct. 31. The Halloween-inspired pop-up will serve haunting cocktails, moody décor and “after-dark mischief.”
Guests who arrive dressed in their ghoulish glam will receive a 15% discount on drinks. The party is held from 7 p.m. to midnight Monday to Saturday at the hotel, 5101 N. Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale
HEX
Billed as a “Bass Music Halloween Experience,” HEX features music on two stages at Rawhide Festival Grounds, 19593 S. 48th St., Chandler, on Oct. 30 and Oct. 31. DJs include Subtronics, Excision, INZO, ATLiens, Badklaat, Deathbeat, Decimate, Dennett, Hurtbox, Inaktiv, Izzy Vadin, Lays, Modal Nodes, Nikademis, Onara, Proxxy, Riot Ten b2b Phase One, Sora, Xaebor and YVM3.
LDV Winery
LDV Winery Tasting Room is hosting a Halloween-themed paint-and-sip night at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28.
The experience includes a glass of wine, materials for the painting, a whimsical witch hat perched atop a wine glass, and guided instruction. The cost is $30 per person, which includes all supplies. The tasting room is located at 7134 E. Stetson Dr., Suite B119, Scottsdale.
The Pemberton
The Pemberton will feel like a séance during its October Girl Dinner and Movie Night at the Black Flamingo at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22. The $35 ticket includes a four-course dinner “inspired by the spirit world,” along with an elixir. The movie feature is “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” at the Ibiza pool in honor of the late Tim Curry.
The main event, “Nightmare on 2nd Street Halloween Ball,” will take place on Saturday, Oct. 31. The 2-acre property turns into a sprawling haunted house, with each of its eight bars themed to classic horror movies. Guests are encouraged to dress up in their most wickedly creative costume to win the costume contest. The event will be free before 9 p.m. and $10 afterward.
The Pemberton is located at 1121 N. Second St., Phoenix, and is a 21 and older venue.
Phoenix Children’s
Families can give their Halloween costumes a test run at the Phoenix Children’s Spooktacular Sprint & 5K in Downtown Phoenix on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Participants can run, jog or walk the 3.1-mile course in their Halloween best. Last year, the event drew 3,000 participants and raised more than $400,000 for Phoenix Children’s. Participants can choose an area of care to fundraise for, including the Hope Fund, which supports more than 170 donation-funded programs and services.
Check-in opens at 7 a.m.; the race starts at 8:15 a.m. at Wesley Bolin Plaza, 1700 W. Washington St., Phoenix.
Phoenix Zoo
The Phoenix Zoo and Keebler are partnering for the second Spooky Safari, which runs from Wednesday, Oct. 28, to Saturday, Oct. 31. During the seasonal adventure, guests embark on a safari-style exploration to identify striped animals and answer interactive trivia questions.
The program is held in person or online. All participants are entered for a chance to win prizes, including an annual Phoenix Zoo membership, a behind-the-scenes animal experience, and the grand prize: an all-inclusive VIP getaway for four to Nashville Zoo featuring general admission, an exclusive premium backstage tour, unlimited Adventure Passes (Wild Animal Carousel, Wilderness Express Train, Soaring Eagle Zip Line, Adventure 4D Theater), round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, and spending money.
The Spooky Safari experience is included with general admission or membership into the Phoenix Zoo. Tickets start at $18.
Scarizona Scargrounds in Mesa
Scarizona Arizona opens Friday, Sept. 25, for six weeks of terror at 1901 N. Alma School Road, off the Loops 101 and 202, in Mesa. The East Valley’s family-owned horror attraction will spawn terror and mayhem for 22 select nights through Halloween weekend.

Surprise’s Desert Fall Festival
Surprise’s Desert Fall Festival runs through Nov. 1 with seasonal entertainment, food and drinks. Guests can explore 13 acres of fall-themed fun, including the Desert Pumpkin Hunt, excavator dig site, apple cannon blaster, hay bale archery, bungee trampolines, mechanical bull, pumpkin bowling, a 40-foot zipline and 90-foot fun slide.
New this year are a roller rink, line dancing lessons and axe throwing. Guests can also enjoy seasonal treats, cozy fire pits with s’mores and a curated gift shop. Tickets start at $17.95 for guests ages 3 and older.
Trunk or Treat at Scottsdale 101
Arizona’s Children Association (AzCA), a nonprofit that has served Arizona families for 114 years, is partnering with Scottsdale 101 and local organizations to kick off the Halloween season with Trunk or Treat for more than 500 families. The event from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct 17 is open to the public. The event’s address is 7000 E. Mayo Blvd., Phoenix.
Tempe Diablo Stadium
World of Illumination is expanding its footprint to Halloween with its drive-thru Zombie Zoo Halloween Experience at Tempe Diablo Stadium through Nov. 1.
Designed as a non-scary, all-ages alternative to traditional haunted houses, Zombie Zoo gives families a new way to experience the fun and excitement of Halloween together, all from the comfort of their car.

Westgate Entertainment District
Ghosts & Goodies returns to Glendale’s Westgate Entertainment District for an evening of family-friendly fun, costumes, candy and spooky entertainment from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23. Guests can trick-or-treat, compete in costume contests and enjoy interactive activities throughout the district.
This year’s event will also feature nationally recognized animal expert Corbin Maxey, who will present a live 45-minute animal show featuring a surprise lineup of animal ambassadors. Following the show, attendees can take part in a meet-and-greet and hands-on interactions with select animals. Admission is free at the district, 6770 N. Sunrise Blvd., Glendale.
