Pinnacle Peak Patio was founded in 1957 as a small store that sold beer and bait to fishermen traveling to nearby lakes. The original owner offered a simple steak dinner consisting of a 32-ounce Porterhouse steak cooked over mesquite wood. What started as a weekend experiment ultimately has become a great memory for Arizona residents. Big Marv, the grill manager has been with Pinnacle Peak for 53 years and has served nearly 12 million pounds of beef to local families.
