On Monday, Nov. 16, Pita Jungle will open its new location on Mill Ave and University Dr. in Tempe.
The original location on Apache Blvd. opened in 1994 and has now relocated to this prominent corner near the ASU campus. This relocation of the flagship restaurant is not only symbolic for this reason, but also because the three owners – Nelly Kohsok, Fouad Khodr and Bassel Osmani – met as students at ASU.
The theme of this location, urban street art, includes little details that pay homage to their backgrounds and campus nearby. All artwork done on the walls, tables and other facets of the location were done by artist Eric “Q” Quezada.
As seen in all other Pita Jungle locations, the new spot on Mill Ave will also feature pieces of art by local artists. The restaurants give 100 percent of the proceeds from each piece sold directly to the artist that created it, as supporting local artists is a passion for the owners and a pillar of the brand.
The restaurant will be open 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
