Westgate Entertainment District transforms into a winter wonderland starting Nov. 24 through Christmas Eve with free, festive happenings every day of the week including horse-drawn carriage rides, nightly snowfall, a skating rink and visits with Santa Claus.
The holiday season officially kicks off on Tuesday, Nov. 24 when with the lighting of the 33-foot holiday tree with over 3,000 sparkling lights, a professional skating performance, Santa’s official arrival and the season’s first snowfall. Nearly 3,000 people turned out for this special event last year.
New this year, Visit Tucson will bring its “Top of the World” experience to Westgate from Nov. 21 through Nov. 24. To show off Tucson’s status as a year-round outdoor mecca, a 25-foot rock-climbing wall will be constructed near Fountain Park with expert instructors on-hand and daily contests with giveaways. A professional 3D chalk artist will also be creating two, three-dimensional images of Tucson’s iconic Mount Lemmon and the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum’s Raptor Free Flight.
Spend Black Friday with the Arizona Coyotes on Nov. 27, help light the Grand Menorah on Dec. 13 to celebrate Hanukkah and even create a hilarious high-tech, 3D ornament of your head on an elf or snowman’s body. The possibilities are endless at Westgate this holiday season.

It’s the official kick-off to the holiday season! Start the evening with a professional skating performance followed by the lighting of Westgate’s 33-foot holiday tree and Santa’s official arrival. At 7pm it will magically snow for the first time this holiday season!

The only place in the West Valley to see it snow nightly is at Westgate Entertainment District! Watch as Fountain Park magically turns into a living snow globe each evening with snowfall shows at 7pm and 8pm.

Black Friday with the Arizona Coyotes
Friday, Nov. 27

Noon – 1pm: Families can skate with the Arizona Coyotes’ Howler and Paw Patrol during a special appearance on the Westgate holiday rink.
