Banner|Aetna appoints 2 executives to C-Suite team
Banner|Aetna, the Arizona health plans jointly owned by Banner Health and Aetna, appointed Dr. Robert Groves of Banner Health, and Dan Keller of Aetna, as its executive vice president, chief medical officer and chief financial officer respectively.
Dr. Groves, who was vice president of health management at Banner Health and chief medical officer at Banner Health Network, will be responsible for the business direction and strategic leadership of medical management programs. With BannerIAetna’s focus on high quality, cost-effective patient care, he will work on developing innovative health-related activities for plan members.
Joining him is Dan Keller, who will oversee the financial performance of Banner|Aetna and support CEO Tom Grote in driving the strategic plan. In addition, he will identify and forecast future areas of growth and success.
Keller has more than 20 years of health care management experience primarily in finance, actuarial, and underwriting roles. Previously, he was the CFO of Aetna’s Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico markets.
Tim Wright named director of real estate at John F. Long Properties
Tim Wright has been named Director of Real Estate with John F. Long Properties LLLP. He brings more than 20 years of experience in Arizona commercial real estate to the long-standing development company.
“We are pleased to have Tim, with his Valley roots and years of real estate experience, join our team,” says General Partner Jacob F. Long. “Tim will handle all aspects of our real estate investments, including acquisition and disposition. Tim will also be responsible for our Aldea Centre, Copperwing projects and the retail development at StoneHaven.”
Wright has been the owner of Poni Investments, LLC since 2013. Prior to forming his own real estate investment firm, he served as Executive Vice President of The Ellman Companies. His experience includes oversight of development, construction and management of a wide variety of commercial real estate assets, including retail, office and land. His background includes several years in underwriting and funding of real estate loans, which broadens his experience in the industry.
MassMutual Greater Phoenix names VP of brokerage sales
Eric Bottolfsen, MBA, has joined the leadership team of the MassMutual Greater Phoenix Agency, a general agency of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual), as the Vice President of Brokerage Sales. He most recently served as the Regional Sales Director of Disability Income and Long Term Care Insurance for MassMutual.
“I have seen firsthand how a death or an illness without a proper financial strategy can devastate a family,” said Bottolfsen. “My goal is to bring first rate financial solutions to Arizona through an exceptional insurance relationship with MassMutual Greater Phoenix.”
