AzHHA names Ann-Marie Alameddin president an CEO
The Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association (AzHHA), the organization giving Arizona hospitals a voice to collectively build better healthcare and health for Arizonans, has named Ann-Marie Alameddin as its President and CEO, effective April 2, 2019. Ms. Alameddin, AzHHA’s Vice President of Strategy and General Counsel since 2015, succeeds Greg Vigdor, who is retiring after six years.
The AzHHA Board of Directors selected Ms. Alameddin after a search for the most qualified candidate. “This role is so unique in the world of healthcare,” explains AzHHA Board Chair and President and CEO of Havasu Regional Medical Center Mike Patterson. “A lot will be expected at all levels of expertise, and Ann-Marie’s background, patient-centered orientation and deep expertise with the needs of Arizona hospitals fits our expectations for the advancement and expansion of AzHHA’s mission to a T.”
Banner MD Anderson expands program in West Valley
Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center is expanding its Psycho-Oncology & Supportive Care Program with the addition of Bradley Millman, PsyD, a health psychologist whose focus is psycho-oncology and behavioral medicine.
Dr. Millman will treat Banner MD Anderson patients and Banner primary care patients related to cancer and cancer prevention at Banner Boswell Medical Center. Dr. Millman joins Dr. Rena Szabo, director of the Banner Health Psychology and Psycho-Oncology programs, and Dr. Soffia Palsdottir, health psychologist, who see patients at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Gilbert.
Expansion of the program marks an increasing focus on the importance of evidence-based behavioral medicine as a necessary part of the integrated treatment plan for cancer patients at Banner MD Anderson. Nationwide, many cancer centers offer counseling and support services, but few have dedicated doctors of health psychology with an expertise in oncologic behavioral medicine on staff.
“I believe in a holistic approach to treatment, using a person’s psychological, social and spiritual needs to supplement the biological treatment of cancer,” said Dr. Millman.
Dr. Millman will help patients reduce and manage emotional stress often involved in fighting the disease, such as anxiety, depression, and body image and relationship issues. He will offer Banner MD Anderson’s Tobacco and Nicotine Recovery Program to Banner patients in the West Valley. The comprehensive recovery program, which has been in place in Gilbert since 2015, was developed by Dr. Szabo and is based on the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Guidelines. The program helps patients with the psychological and physiological elements involved in becoming non-smokers and/or non-nicotine users.
Sundt promotes Cade Rowley
Sundt Construction, Inc. (www.sundt.com) has promoted Cade Rowley to Southwest Regional Manager for the Transportation Group. He will oversee Arizona, New Mexico, El Paso and Southern California.
“As our Group continues to expand, it’s important we are structured to meet the needs of our clients,” said Jeff Williamson, Senior Vice President and manager of Sundt’s Transportation Group. “Cade has been an excellent asset for our department and will be a great leader as we evolve our efforts in these regions.”
In his new role, Rowley will oversee business development, preconstruction, operations and client management for the region.
Rowley joined Sundt nearly 20 years ago as a field engineer. Since then he has served in multiple roles within the Transportation Group including project manager, area manager, business development manager and preconstruction manager. He holds a degree in civil engineering from Arizona State University and is a registered Professional Engineer.

With nearly 30 years of experience utilizing his extensive retail, sales, management, and legal experience, Greg is a well-respected commercial real estate professional with a reputation as a retail real estate expert in Arizona, and throughout the U.S.
Most recently with Cushman & Wakefield as a senior director of their Arizona Retail Capital Markets Group, Greg specialized in the sale of investment properties for private and institutional owners and lenders. Over his real estate career, Greg has been involved in more than 130 investment sale transactions totaling more than $1.4 billion in value.
Greg began his professional career with Federated Department Stores in Houston, Texas which was his introduction to retailing techniques that continue to serve him today. Shortly after, he moved to Northern California to assist in the national rollout of Bartles & Jaymes Wine Coolers. Upon completion of that project, he moved to Apple Computers in various roles, including supporting Apple’s retail dealerships in the Western U.S. during a time of extreme growth for Apple and the introduction of seven new product lines. Greg left Apple to pursue a law degree at the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona. His studies included real estate law, business law, and contracts. Upon graduation, he joined prominent Phoenix insurance defense firm, Jones, Skelton & Hochuli, as a commercial litigator specializing in real estate disputes.

Brandon Rodgers, SIOR, CCIM of Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR, has achieved the SIOR industrial designation awarded by the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS®. SIOR is a Washington, DC-based international professional organization of more than 3,300 commercial real estate professionals whom have earned the coveted SIOR designation.
To achieve the SIOR designation, Rodgers completed over five years of creditable experience in the highly specialized field of industrial real estate; met stringent education requirements; and demonstrated professional ability, competency, ethical conduct, and personal integrity.
Individuals who hold the SIOR designation are top producers in the commercial real estate field and are represented in more than 685 cities in 36 countries around the world. SIOR enforces a strict code of ethics and required designees to complete its ethics course within their first three years of membership.
Family Promise names Susan Kavanaugh as director of philanthropy
Family Promise of Greater Phoenix is pleased to announce that Susan Kavanaugh has joined Family Promise of Greater Phoenix as Director of Philanthropy. For the past 22 years, Kavanaugh has worked with multiple nonprofit organizations around the Valley. Though committed to her own consulting company these past five years, Kavanaugh has decided to focus on one singular nonprofit. As Kavanaugh said, “I felt a calling to come to Family Promise full time. I am ready to direct my energy into an organization with a purpose aligned with my heart.”
Kavanaugh will have oversight of the strategic direction, expansion and operation of Family Promise’s philanthropy efforts, as well as marketing and public relations.
