Being called “innovative” is a great calling card in today’s knowledge-based economy. And Az Business magazine wants to recognize — and spotlight — that innovative spirit with its first Arizona Business Innovation Awards.
“After being named the most innovative university in the nation for five straight years, Arizona State University has completely redefined its global image,” says Az Business magazine Editor in Chief Michael Gossie. “But ASU’s innovation goes beyond technology. It’s the innovative ways they teach, how they prepare students for careers that don’t exist yet, even the way they construct buildings in which students learn. Innovation in business goes beyond technology — it’s about new processes, efficiencies, ideas, products, leadership, employee benefits.”
And that’s what the Arizona Business Innovation Awards are all about.
This program will seek, unveil and honor organizations and individuals stretching the limits of how business is done — both through creative thinking and new technology. Innovation comes in many forms – from the creation of new revolutionary ideas to the changes used to create existing products – and it’s what drives success. Arizona is home to some of the most forward-thinking companies in the country. From MedTech, PropTech, and FinTech to engineering, education, construction, manufacturing and hospitality, Arizona continues to produce some of the nation’s most innovative ideas and attract some of the most talented leaders in the country.
The Arizona Business Innovation Awards are now accepting nominations in the following categories:

• Tourism and hospitality
