P.B. Bell, a leader in multifamily housing and real estate development, management and acquisitions, was recently recognized for outstanding design at Escape, one of its Phoenix communities. The community, designed by Lawrence Lake Interiors, was honored with an American Society of Interior Design (ASID) award.
Escape, located at 16th Street and Highland Avenue in Phoenix, earned first place in the “outdoor living space” category for its resort-style pool area, which uses vibrant colors and modern furnishings to create an urban oasis for its residents. The pool area at Escape utilizes small gathering areas to create intimacy, with varied styles of fire pits as anchors for conversation and connection. This is the second consecutive year that a collaboration between Lawrence Lake Interiors and P.B. Bell has earned an ASID award, the previous one going to The View at Cascade for “Best in Show.”
“We are really proud of the collaborative relationship we have with Lawrence Lake Interiors, which once again produced award-winning work for us and our residents,” R. Chapin Bell, P.B. Bell’s CEO, said. “The color palette, coupled with the strategic, socially-focused design of our pool area, speaks to our Escape residents in the way we intended it to. And, we’re grateful that our collaborative vision earned industry recognition.”
Escape also won a 2017 Real Estate and Development (RED) Award from AZ Big Media for best multifamily community completed in 2016. The 248,824-square-foot multifamily community consists of 244 luxury apartment homes in a four-story, interior corridor community, with the pool area tucked inside a semi-enclosed courtyard area. With views of Camelback Mountain, and proximity to downtown sporting events and upscale retail, Escape offers a peaceful retreat from the rushed pace of daily life. The pet-friendly community includes a state-of-the-art fitness center, car charging stations, underground parking and optional garages and a bike service station.
