Ali Brooks possesses a keen eye for design, whether it’s a spectacular residential interior or a multi-million-dollar Class A multifamily project.

“I have a strong belief that everyone has a unique personality; spaces should, too,” Brooks said. “In the built environment it can be achieved by creating one-of-a-kind spaces that are inviting, sophisticated, and timeless.”

Brooks was working full-time as marketing director for a global commercial real estate firm overseeing all marketing and new business initiatives in the West in 2020 when she established Sketch Design Co. Always wanting to learn, she embraced the idea of expanding her design education by taking on an occasional residential interior design project. She left her corporate job to take Sketch Design Co. full time.

“With function at the forefront, Sketch Design Co. intentionally sources pieces that work harmoniously within the space, while meeting the outlined aesthetic, ultimately saving our clients time and money,” Brooks said proudly.

Sketch Design Co. specializes in commercial and residential design. Brooks, who serves as Founder + Principal Designer, boasts a diverse background in corporate branding, corporate strategy, construction, marketing, and real estate development.

She was honored as “One of the Best & Brightest: Top 20 in Their 20s” in the multifamily industry by the National Apartment Association (she was a director at 27 and a vice president by 30).

Ali Brooks has worked with the industry’s leading client ownership groups in both private and public sectors including Blackstone, Invesco, Nuveen, TruAmerica, Schulman Properties, and Goodman Real Estate.

Sketch Desing Co. is currently providing design work on Eagle Ridge Apartments in Peoria, Arizona, for The Hampton Group. Eagle Ridge Apartments is a new, 208-unit lease-up multifamily project.

“With residential projects, my goal is to create a space that go beyond aesthetics, weaving in personal touches and meaningful details to evoke emotion and create a profound sense of ‘home’ for my clients,” she said. “With commercial projects, my role is to advise on a multifamily community’s design and amenity activation as well as selecting finishes that will increase the community’s overall value and yield the highest ROI for my clients.”

Besides becoming a full-time business owner and businesswoman, Brooks also became a first-time parent in 2022. A native of Newport Beach, California, and raised in Scottsdale, Brooks attended high school in the Valley. She earned a BA in interdisciplinary students from Arizona State University.

Brooks enjoys high-end fashion, fine dining experiences, and traveling. She also enjoys spending time with her husband Jonathan and daughter Joie.
