Kentucky-based Springstone will develop its second Arizona behavioral health facility on 6.59 acres located near the Loop 202 and Val Vista Drive in Gilbert.
Springstone purchased the property from Willis & Melrose, LLC. The land is situated at the corner of Rome and Melrose streets near the Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. Philip Wurth, executive vice president with Colliers International in Greater Phoenix, negotiated the sale.
“We have experienced a high volume of activity around the area for medical users looking for space,” says Wurth. “The Springstone facility will fill an important need in the community for high-quality behavioral health care services.”
Springstone is a leading provider of behavioral health services in numerous markets throughout the United States. The company currently operates one facility in Arizona, Copper Springs, which is located in Avondale. Springstone fulfills its mission of Changing People’s Lives® by building and operating innovative behavioral health facilities that partner with local stakeholders to strengthen individuals, families, and communities.
Springstone plans to break ground on a 60,000-square-foot facility, which will include inpatient and outpatient services, within the next three months. The facility should be complete in 2019.
