This week, Westgate Entertainment District signed leases for close to 20,000 square feet of office space to three businesses that will open at the Glendale mixed-use center by the end of the year.

Harvard Drug Group, a pharmaceutical sales, manufacturing and distribution company, originally opened at Westgate in 2013 with a 4,937 square-foot office to accommodate its 25 employees. To accommodate a near tripling in size, the company signed a lease for a 13,106-square-foot space for their now 60 employees. Harvard Drug is owned by Cardinal Health, ranked No. 21 on the Fortune 500 list.

New to Arizona, BBB Industries will open a 2,521 square-foot regional office at Westgate. Headquartered in Daphne, Alabama, BBB Industries is a privately held, world-class manufacturer and distributor of the North American vehicle aftermarket.

Relocating from Peoria to Westgate, Westmarc (Western Maricopa Coalition) will open a 2,502 square-foot office. Westmarc is a public-private partnership of the 15 communities, the business community and the education sector west of I-17.

“We’re pleased to announce almost 20,000 square feet of new office leases, which continues our positive momentum,” said Jeff Teetsel, development manager of Westgate. “As evidenced by the growth of Harvard Drug within Westgate, our office tenants appreciate the truly mixed-use dynamic, convenient access and on site amenities at Westgate that provide a great environment for their employees.”

Under the ownership of iStar, Westgate Entertainment District has experienced strong retail and office leasing activity, most notably the openings of Dave & Buster’s and Bar Louie.
