Phoenix-based Patton Asset Management, a fully integrated, independent management services firm for hotels, resorts, and restaurants, has announced their expansion into the Houston market, fueled by a strategic partnership with two leading industry veterans.  Founded in 2015 by hospitality executive and entrepreneur Michael P. Gildersleeve, Patton has provided asset management services to some of the most renowned names in the industry, from luxury resorts to independent hotels and restaurants, implementing strategies proven to deliver strong results.

Gildersleeve recently joined forces with Ronald A. Day, who serves as Executive Vice President of Operations, and Robert Eckerman, who was named Vice President of Accounting and Finance Consulting, creating a powerful trio with decades of experience and success with some of the biggest brands in the hospitality and restaurant business.

Day began his hospitality career with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, where he managed several operational departments within the Rooms and F&B divisions at three properties. He later joined the opening team of the AAA Five- Diamond Scottsdale Princess Resort as Director of Restaurants, followed by a tenure as Director of Banquets.  After growing the Princess into one of the most prominent resorts in Arizona, Day moved on to serve in General Manager capacities for Adam’s Mark Hotels in Alabama, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina, as well as LXR Luxury Resorts properties in Puerto Rico and Florida.  Day later worked with Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Waldorf Astoria, and most recently, founded Kellum Hospitality Advisors (KHA).  As part of the Patton team, Day brings clients creative ideas for repositioning existing projects to enhance

their relevancy and improve their financial performance, while guiding new projects to results that become industry benchmarks.

Eckerman, who will manage the company’s Houston office, spent over a decade as a Certified Public Accountant for international accounting firm Touche Ross & Co., where many of his clients were hotel operators, real estate syndicators, developers, and multi-location retailers. Eckerman then joined Olympia Enterprises, a successful, privately held investment management firm, as their Chief Financial Officer and then President. Eckerman’s extensive experience includes evaluating and hiring talented people and has in- depth knowledge about business lending and property sales, as he spearheaded the successful sale of two full-service Hilton hotels and two shopping center properties, all sold at substantial gains.

“The addition of Ron and Robert brings the company full circle,” said Gildersleeve. “The services our company provides range from big-picture to the day-to-day; more than just leadership, a full-service option for hotels, restaurant owners and resort operators alike who need attention in certain areas so they and their teams can focus on doing what they do best.”

Patton Asset Management is dedicated to guiding hotel operators’ efforts and protecting the interests of owners and investors, providing expertise in all aspects of the business, including operations, accounting services, marketing, public relations, social media, new development, construction, and more.   The company is dedicated to delivering outstanding experiences for guests and strong returns for owners at a wide range of properties, from mid-size extended-stay and limited-service properties, to boutique hotels and full-service resorts.

The company also provides comprehensive restaurant advisory and asset management services that lead to strong financial returns and satisfied guests, delivering a wealth of expertise to help independent operators and hotel-managed restaurants succeed.
