Landsea Homes today announced a strategic expansion with the acquisition of 90 single family homesites at Harvest Queen Creek, the homebuilder’s second community in greater Phoenix, Arizona. Landsea Homes is building Sonora Crossing, a new resort-style community in Chandler.

“We are very pleased to be taking another major step forward in Arizona with this community in Harvest Queen Creek,” said Peter Beucke, Arizona division president of Landsea Homes. “Homebuyers will find high-performance homes at attainable prices that allow the flexibility to indulge in modern living and everyday conveniences.”

The new community at Harvest Queen Creek in the southeast corner of Signal Butte and Riggs Road is scheduled to include 1,244 single-family homesites with resort-style amenities, including a 7-acre park consisting of a 15-acre lake, 45 acres of open space, permanent trails, a junior Olympic-sized swimming pool, play pool and a gathering pavilion for the community. Land development is expected to begin in early 2020, and the first closings are anticipated later that year.

Arizona tied as the fourth-fastest growing state by percentage in the United States in 2018 according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Growth like that is expected to continue for the foreseeable future because of the strong job market.

“Harvest Queen Creek’s history, culture and family-oriented community makes it an attractive destination for homebuyers seeking abundant acreage and convenient access to top-rated schools, growing career opportunities, entertainment and recreational activities,” Beucke said. “It’s a prime location for Landsea Homes to create a vibrant new master-planned community that meets all of the needs of local homebuyers.”
