The Boyer Company, in partnership with SmithGroupJJR and Okland Construction, has awarded Cushman & Wakefield the marketing and leasing assignment for TCA Technology Park, a planned 18-acre biomedical and technology campus in Tempe, Ariz.

Cushman & Wakefield Directors Mark Stratz and Scott Baumgarten have the lease assignment for Tempe’s first biomedical and technology campus.

“The Boyer Company and the members of our development team are excited for the opportunity to work with Cushman & Wakefield.  The project’s close proximity to ASU, key Tempe employers, the airport and area freeways makes this an ideal location for today’s tenant. Mark Stratz and Scott Baumgarten understand these key features, along with today’s market dynamics and tenant trends,” said Matt Jensen, partner and senior project manager for The Boyer Company.

Located west of the Tempe Center for the Arts (TCA), the proposed phased project will consist of five, 5- to 8-story buildings totaling approximately 1 million square feet (SF), along with two parking structures.

The project also has plans to include a restaurant, arts-related spaces such as rehearsal space and artist workspaces, and trails connected to the arts center and Tempe Town Lake pathways.

“The North Tempe submarket is the most dynamic submarket in the Valley, with one of the lowest vacancy rates. The tenant demand in Tempe is unprecedented in the Valley. The leasing activity from the get go has been robust with multiple tenants requesting proposals. The initial interest clearly demonstrates the tenant demand for high quality, sustainable architecture in the submarket,” said Mark Stratz.
