LEARN MORE: I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson will be expanded to 3 lanes

Set on nine acres at the northeast corner of La Cholla Boulevard and Old Magee Road, The Place at Arroyo Verde will feature 156 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging from 764 to 1,408 square feet.

There will be seven contemporary open floorplans with high ceilings, fiber-optic cable, Internet access and a host of amenities, including granite countertops, spacious walk-in closets and all-electric kitchens. The controlled-access community will also serve as a gathering place for residents, with an inviting clubhouse, fitness center, barbecue stations, cabanas and a resort-style swimming pool.

Pets are welcome, too, and there are no breed or size restrictions.

“Our goal is to provide the perfect balance of comfort and style while filling the demand for housing in the heart of one of our state’s most vibrant cities,” said MC Companies Co-Founder and Owner Ross McCallister.

The community is centrally located, offering easy access to Interstate 10, along with a park, restaurants, bars and entertainment.

MC Companies is no stranger to Tucson. Industry veteran and Tucson resident McCallister founded the company with partner Ken McElroy in 2001 to develop, acquire, renovate and manage multifamily developments. The company currently manages a portfolio of more than 7,000 units in Arizona and Texas.

Set to open in mid-March, The Place at Arroyo Verde is a joint venture with global investment firm Carlyle Investment Management LLC. Clark Wayland is the general contractor and Dean Alan Architects is the project architect. National Bank of Arizona is providing the construction loan for the community. Total construction costs are approximately $34 million. The property will be managed by MC Companies’ property management arm, MC Residential.
