Valley Partnership‘s September 23 monthly breakfast will focus on the Valley’s multi-housing market, which continues to hum along.

What are the realities for residents? Are the types of projects being developed actually what the Valley needs? As Valley and state economic development leaders look to grow our economy, affordable, workforce-centric housing is key to employer attraction – both rentals and homes for purchase. When compared with wage growth are multi-housing prices rising too quickly?

The panel will feature Nate Stum, development manager, Lennar Multifamily Communities; Alan Stephenson, planning and development director, City of Phoenix; and Doug Whitneybell, principal, Whitneybell Perry.

Moderating the panel will be Cindy Cooke, senior executive vice president, Colliers International.

“In the years since the recession, the multi-family sector was the first to recover and experience growth,” said Cheryl Lombard, CEO and president of Valley Partnership. “Eight years later that growth shows no sign of slowing. Numerous luxury apartment projects are under construction across the Valley with many more planned. And now condo and townhome developers are back in the game with a variety of projects underway.”

Highlighting the breakfast will be former U.S. Sen. Jon Kyl.
