Earlier this year the Arizona State Legislature made changes to the Charitable Tax Credit, which can help out local nonprofits from year-end giving.

Gov. Doug Ducey signed SB 1216 this spring, which increases the tax credit for qualifying foster care organizations from $200 to $400 for an individual or household, and an increase from $400 to $800 for a married couple filing a joint return.

The bill also created a separate credit for foster care organizations, which is now at $500 from an individual and $1,000 for a married couple filing a joint return.

Folks can now get a bigger tax credit while also helping out local nonprofits in the Arizona Community, especially during the Holidays.
