State gambling regulators say they’re making it easier for businesses to be vendors with tribal casinos.

The Arizona Department of Gaming says a new licensing program allows businesses wanting to sell goods or services to tribal casinos to submit one set of applications to both the state and many of the tribes.

That’s in contrast to the past requirement that potential vendors submit one set of applications to the state and another to a tribe.

The department says the use of standard applications will reduce burdens that deterred some businesses from applying to work for casinos.

According to the department, the change will mean tribes will be able to choose from a bigger pool of qualified vendors.
