The $25M courthouse will sit on a 2.3-acre lot with secure detention areas, administrative offices and courtroom spaces. Among the sustainable features are photovoltaic panels and a living wall. The courthouse is named after U.S. District Judge John Roll, one of six people killed in the January shooting in Tucson in which Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Tucson) and 12 others were wounded.
