Abrazo Medical Group announced today the launch of ZocDoc, a new service for patients that enables them to book appointments online with primary care and family physicians.
The service is available at some Abrazo Medical Group facilities throughout the Valley. Additional ones will be added in coming months.
Using the ZocDoc scheduling system, patients are able to see each doctor’s availability, qualifications, reviews and photos to help them choose the practitioner who best fits their needs. Patients select an available timeslot and complete a brief checkout process to book an appointment. They may elect to receive email and text message appointment reminders for added convenience.
“The new ZocDoc system is a great example of our growing services that strive to always offer superior and convenient care to the community,” said Mark Wright, Abrazo Health’s senior director of operations for physician services.
The ZocDoc system enables patients to book appointments with Abrazo Medical Group doctors any time, even when the doctor’s office is closed. The system reduces wait times for patients and increases efficiency for medical providers. Forty percent of appointments scheduled by ZocDoc users occur within one day and 60 percent of ZocDoc appointments take place within three days.
