About Pearl Woodring

Pearl Woodring is a former buyer for Bloomingdales. Prior to Bloomingdales, she began her career in the fashion industry at Bergdorf Goodman. While at Bloomingdales she held the positions of Buyer, Financial Planner and Department Manager. Pearl’s 13 years of experience at Bloomingdales provided her with a rich and diverse skill set. She managed sales volumes of $50M+ annually. She developed and launched new and existing businesses within a broad product spectrum, including Men’s, Cosmetics, Kid’s, Bridge, and Contemporary clothing. Nurturing close relationships with her stores and vendors allowed Pearl to consistently exceed her sales objectives. This was accomplished by creating and implementing merchandise, marketing and risk management strategies to support identified trends. Pearl received awards for expertise on 9 separate occasions and was honored as Buyer of the Year in 2006. Pearl is a native New Yorker and has lived in Scottsdale since 2007. She currently owns a consulting company, Sparrow Merchandising, which specializes in retail growth, trend analysis, and product development. Her other projects include writing a special interest book. Most importantly, Pearl is a proud mother of two. Pearl’s goal is to promote mentoring relationships between women in order to enhance their lives socially and professionally.
