Skanska announced it has hired Scott Christensen as a senior project manager for its building business unit. A 25-year veteran of the Arizona construction industry, Christensen will primarily be focused on health care and higher education projects.

Christensen comes to Skanska after leading a major Arizona contractor’s special services group. He has a wealth of experience in the health care, education and commercial sectors, bringing a deep understanding of client needs within each.

He is certified in health care compliance (CHC) and is also a LEED® Accredited Professional. Christensen holds a bachelor degree from Iowa State University and an MBA from Drake University.

An active member of the local community, Christensen is development manager for Helping Hands for Freedom and is a former co-chair of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

“As we grow our business, it is vital that we focus on the needs of our clients first,” said Skanska USA Building’s Arizona Manager Rob Cortazzo. “Scott’s experience and mindset perfectly aligns with that goal and we are excited to add his expertise to our team.”
