It’s the largest fundraiser for the Arizona Hemophilia Association, bringing in more than 20,000 people last year. Get ready to taste the hottest salsa as numerous businesses and restaurants compete to beat the original family recipe.

Ahwatukee Chili Cookoff and Carnival @ Ahwatukee Park
Sanctioned by the International Chili Society, this cookoff and carnival has it all. There are rides, games, music and bowls and bowls of chili. Make sure to bring your own thermos of milk, just in case.

Chandler Ostrich Festival @ 2250 S. McQueen Rd. Chandler, Arizona
A truly unique event, the 26th annual Ostrich Festival is back this weekend. Watch people race their ostriches either bare-back or with a chariot. You can even munch on a bit of ostrich while you do it…
