Make an escape from the heat and relax poolside for the Swim Social at the Saguaro Hotel. The weekend pool party takes place every Saturday and Sunday from now until the beginning of September. Sip specialty cocktails like the Jefe margarita and nosh on food like caritas tacos, all from Iron Chef Jose Garces’s restaurant Distrito, which is located inside the Saguaro. Hot dogs and hamburgers will also be grilled poolside, and they offer a fully stocked bar.
“The pool is a very electric crowd. You have tourists, locals on stay-cations,” says DJ Alan Page. “The people are there to relax and enjoy the pool.”
DJ Alan Page, who plays everything from house music to classic rock, provides the music. He takes requests and can typically accommodate all types of music. “My selection is all over the place, from top 40, house, hip hop, motown, classic rock, moombahton, reggae/dancehall; nothing is off limits.”
Daybeds and lounge chairs are first come first serve, but cabanas are available to rent for $100 with a $100 food and beverage minimum and they can each fit a maximum 
of 10 people. The cabanas have personal food and drink service from which guests can order a number of drinks and anything off the food menu. The cabanas also have flat screen TV’s inside.
The Swim Social begins at noon and goes until 6 p.m. and admission to the Picante Pool is free. Guests who plan to drink alcoholic beverages must bring their ID to receive an over-21 wristband. To make a cabana reservation call (480) 308-1100.
