Todd Gerber, regional president, WaFd Bank
Background: Gerber joined WaFd Bank in June 2019 and is currently the Arizona regional president, where he also leads the commercial and industrial team by working closely with Arizona businesses and residents, helping limit risk, maximize efficiencies and prepare for the unexpected. With over 28 years in banking, Gerber brings expertise in managing business accounts in industries such as manufacturing, retail and service, healthcare, nonprofit, government and construction.
Leadership style: “I would describe my leadership style as collaborative and empowering. Leading by example such as rolling up your sleeves and helping out whenever help is needed is very important to me as a leader.”
Leadership values: “Honesty and integrity are core values to me as a leader. In the finance industry, we are entrusted with very sensitive information, so how we conduct ourselves is very important. We win as a team when everyone is more concerned with winning as a team rather than individually.”
