In the year 2023, the 14th Yaad-E-Murshid Free Polio and Disability Correction Camp organized by Dera Sacha Sauda, Haryana, stands as a beacon of hope for individuals in dire need. Through its impactful initiatives and community-focused approach, the organization continues to embody the values of empathy and service.

Mother Teresa Health Centre, known for its altruistic endeavors, recently conducted a significant free medical camp at Pillayarpatti Village. Thiru. A. Udhayakumar, President of the Pillayarpatti Panchayat Union, inaugurated the camp, which provided essential services to 227 individuals. Beneficiaries underwent tests such as sugar, hemoglobin, ECG, blood pressure, and Biothesiometer tests, while their height and weight were also measured to assess overall health. 

Follow-up treatments were recommended where necessary, with free medications provided to the underprivileged based on the doctors’ advice. This initiative, conducted in collaboration with the local Panchayat Union, exemplifies the Mother Teresa Health Centre’s unwavering commitment to improving healthcare accessibility and quality for rural communities.

3. GSBS Medical Trust

G.S.B.S MEDICAL TRUST (G.S.B. Sabha’s Medical Trust) stands as a beacon of accessible healthcare, operating four well-equipped medical centers in Dadar, Dharavi, and Mahim. Established initially as a health awareness center in 1967, the trust has evolved into a comprehensive healthcare provider with over 100 specialized consultants offering diverse medical services. 

With a daily footfall of 300 patients seeking consultations and diagnostic tests, the centers cater to a wide range of healthcare needs, including dental services, dermatological consultation, physiotherapy, and de-addiction programs. Each year, during the Wadala Mutt committee’s Annual Day, the trust continues its tradition of organizing a free health camp, with this year’s event held at Dwarkanath Bhavan Hall on 26th January 2023. 

The camp offered a spectrum of free health check up, including blood sugar tests, blood pressure checks, ECGs, eye examinations, dental check-ups, gynecological consultations, and orthopedic advice, emphasizing the trust’s unwavering commitment to promoting holistic well-being within the community.

4. North East Network

North East Network (NEN) remains at the forefront of championing women’s rights and societal development in Northeast India, advocating for inclusive growth and justice for all. Snehashraya Foundation, established in 2016 by Dr. Thilakavathi D, is dedicated to coordinating comprehensive social and community healthcare services for the underprivileged and marginalized sectors of Indian society. Sevalaya, a charitable trust with a longstanding commitment to serving rural underprivileged communities since 1988, operates across 27 centers in Tamil Nadu, reaching out to individuals in need without any discrimination based on caste, color, religion, language, gender, or nationality. Sevalaya’s commitment to extending healthcare services to underserved communities was exemplified in the successful organization of a free medical camp at Katharinatham Village, situated 20 kilometers from Thanjavur. 

Inaugurated by V Kalaiselvan, Chairman of Ammapettai Panchayat Union, the camp catered to the healthcare needs of 120 villagers, providing crucial general health check-ups and diagnostic tests. Notably, the camp revealed prevalent health concerns such as heart diseases, high blood pressure, and diabetes, prompting the distribution of essential medications to the patients at no cost.
