Qwaltec, Inc. announced the United States Navy has awarded the company the On Orbit Engineering Services (OOES) contract located at the Navy Satellite Operations Center (NAVSOC) in Point Mugu, Calif. Qwaltec, a Tempe-based Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) is the sole provider on this $20.8 million contract covering a 5-year period of performance and is set to begin in October of this year.

The Qwaltec team will provide engineering support for NAVSOC, offering specialized engineering services required to ensure satellite mission capability 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to meet the requirements of the joint warfighter. The work is to be performed at NAVSOC HQ located at Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC), Point Mugu, California; and at NAVSOC Detachment Delta located at Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
