Paul Penzone
Paul Penzone is a former American law enforcement officer. He was the sheriff of Maricopa County. Penzone was elected sheriff in 2016, defeating longtime incumbent Joe Arpaio. Today, Penzone is chief community relations officer at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, where he works to solve the most pressing obstacles that challenge our community. He spends every day with the people of Maricopa County, supporting AZ Blue’s mission to inspire health. “My personal investment in this community reaches back decades,” Penzone says. “Though my role has changed since my days in law enforcement and public safety, my passion for purpose-driven leadership and helping people has not.”
