Rose Castanares

Rose Castanares is a 27-year veteran of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), and brings to TSMC Arizona a passion to help the company make history in Phoenix by making the most advanced semiconductor technology on U.S. soil. Rose has had a distinguished career in the semiconductor industry, where she has consistently achieved exceptional results and strengthened customer relationships. Rose is responsible for the business operations functions of TSMC Arizona, and is driving the execution of a multi-year workforce training and development strategy. Before her role in Arizona, Rose served as senior vice president of Business Management for TSMC North America, where she contributed to TSMC’s leadership in the semiconductor sector through her collaboration with many of the company’s valued U.S. customers.

Rose has also championed diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in her roles at TSMC. As an example, she launched the “Great Place to Work” initiative at TSMC North America, cultivating an inclusive and empowering workplace culture, and served as the executive sponsor at TSMC North America’s “Women@TSMC” employee resource group.

An avid mentor and community advocate, Rose is committed to nurturing future leaders and supporting her community. She has mentored over a dozen emerging leaders and has represented TSMC at industry events such as San Jose University’s Women in Engineering conference and the Global Semiconductor Alliance’s Women’s Leadership Initiative. Additionally, she has volunteered at organizations such as Second Harvest Food Bank and Dress for Success, reflecting her dedication to social impact.
