OneAZ appoints interim CEO

As of June 24th, OneAZ’s Board of Directors has appointed Mike Boden, OneAZ’s current Chief Financial Officer, to serve as interim CEO following the resignation of Brandon Michaels.
Boden is a thoughtful, steady, and purpose-driven leader who brings a deep operational expertise and a strong collaborative spirit. OneAZ’s Board of Directors team is confident that he is the right person to guide OneAZ through this next chapter.
In addition, Osman Ulhaq, Chief Strategy and Growth Office has left the organization.
Industrial broker James Cohn returns to CBRE in Phoenix
CBRE announced today that James Cohn has returned to the firm’s Phoenix office as Senior Vice President, specializing in industrial properties across the metro Phoenix area.

Cohn returns to CBRE after spending the last three years with Stream Realty Partners. He brings 12 years of industry experience, representing both industrial landlord and tenant interests, as well as acquisition, disposition, and ground-up development throughout the Metro Phoenix area. Throughout his career, he has been involved in hundreds of transactions across the Valley.
“My time at Stream Realty was invaluable, but I’m excited to bring the experience I’ve gained back to a platform where I began my career and where I see tremendous opportunity for growth and impact in the Phoenix industrial market,” added Cohn.
A Phoenix native, Cohn graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego, where he was a four-year letterman on the Toreros men’s soccer team. Cohn has garnered accolades for his professional successes, including earning NAIOP Arizona’s Developing Leader of the Year, Emerging Broker of the Year and Rookie Broker of the Year awards.
Glendale Chamber announces interim president and CEO
As part of a carefully coordinated leadership transition plan, the Glendale Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the 2024 Chair of the Board, Lisa Baker of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty, will step away from her Board duties and serve as Interim President & CEO of the Glendale Chamber of Commerce. Lisa is a seasoned leader, long-time member, and a committed advocate for the Chamber’s mission.

This interim appointment ensures organizational stability and continued forward momentum while Waverly Partners, a nationally recognized executive search firm, actively recruits for the Chamber’s next dynamic President & CEO.
In her interim capacity, Lisa Baker will work closely with the Chamber’s dedicated team to continue advancing its mission—to CONNECT, IMPACT & PROSPER and serve as the voice of business in Glendale by championing business success and driving economic growth through advocacy, strategic connections, and regional influence.

Buchalter shareholder re-elected to Cancer Research And Biostatistics’ board
Frank X. Curci, a Shareholder at the Buchalter law firm in its Portland and Scottsdale offices, was recently re-elected as a Director on the Board of Directors of Cancer Research And Biostatistics (“CRAB”). Curci has been a Director at CRAB since 2012 and serves on the Board’s Strategic Planning Committee.
Frank X. Curci, a Shareholder at the Buchalter law firm in its Portland and Scottsdale offices, was recently re-elected as a Director on the Board of Directors of Cancer Research And Biostatistics (“CRAB”). Curci has been a Director at CRAB since 2012 and serves on the Board’s Strategic Planning Committee.
CRAB is a nonprofit bioscience organization based in Seattle, Washington. CRAB’s mission is to help conquer cancer and other diseases by participating in all aspects of the design, conduct, and analysis of clinical trials. Recognized internationally, CRAB provides biostatistical expertise, advanced clinical trial data solutions, and management capabilities to support cancer therapeutic and prevention research.
CRAB also plays a key critical role in clinical collaborations and strategic partnerships with biopharmaceutical companies and research institutions to advance clinical trials and drug development.
“It has been an honor to serve as a Director at CRAB, and I look forward to continuing to assist CRAB with their mission and goals in the coming years while on the CRAB Board,” Curci said.
Curci’s practice focuses on representing companies in the high-technology and bioscience industries, universities, research institutions, and global technology consortia regarding a range of technology, intellectual property, research, data rights/privacy, and corporate/business matters.
In particular, Curci has developed a practice representing research institutions and universities in the Western United States regarding intellectual property licensing, technology transfer, collaborations, and other research matters.
Curci has also developed a practice forming and representing global technology standards-setting consortia in the high technology industry.

As a result of his experience, Curci has been recognized as one of The Best Lawyers in America® from 2009 to 2025 in both the Biotechnology Law and Technology Law fields.
Curci was an Adjunct Professor of Law teaching intellectual property courses at Arizona, California, and Oregon law schools. He has also written and lectured on topics relevant to the bioscience and high technology industries.
