StrataTech Education Group names Bill Nance as CEO

StrataTech Education Group, a national leader in skilled trades education, today announced the appointment of Bill Nance as its new chief executive officer.

Nance brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in secondary, postsecondary and nontraditional education. Known for his strategic and innovative approach, he has developed programs that enhance student learning while driving institutional growth.

“I am honored to lead StrataTech at such a pivotal time,” Nance said. “With our sixth campus opening in Metro Atlanta in January 2026, StrataTech is poised to redefine skilled trades education to meet the increasing demand for electricians, HVAC technicians and welders.”

Most recently, Nance served as president and CEO of Ancora Education, which operates skilled trade schools in automotive, health, IT and business. He previously held senior leadership roles at Delta Career Education Corp., including chief operating officer and senior vice president of campus operations, where he implemented strategies that strengthened operations and expanded market reach. His career also includes serving as chief information officer at Forefront Education, national director of IT, and president of the entrepreneurial venture Brand Pixel.

Office brokers join CBRE in Phoenix

CBRE announced today that Mark Gustin, Jimmy Cornish and Emily Minnier have joined the firm’s Phoenix office, specializing in office properties across the metro Phoenix area.

Gustin joins CBRE as an Executive Vice President, Cornish as a First Vice President and Minnier as an Associate. The team has over four decades of experience specializing in office, flex and life science properties. The team has completed over 2,500 lease and sale transactions, representing more than $2.5 billion in transactional value.

Gustin holds a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR).

Cornish is a fourth generation Arizonan and holds a bachelor’s degree in Regional Development from the University of Arizona.

Minnier serves on the NAIOP Steering Committee as Co-Chair of the Developing Leaders Education Committee. Beyond her work in commercial real estate, she has been a mentor with New Pathways for Youth, reflecting her commitment to the community and future leaders.

Jason Shaltiel joins CBRE’s Tucson office

CBRE announced that Jason Shaltiel has joined its Tucson office as a senior associate, specializing in leasing and sales and representing owners and occupiers of office and medical office properties in the Tucson market.

Shaltiel joins CBRE from Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR, where he advised and represented owners, occupiers, and investors in office leasing and sales. He launched his real estate career with a high-producing boutique residential brokerage before transitioning to commercial real estate, where he quickly became a well-respected office broker.

Before this role, he obtained more than a decade’s worth of sales and marketing experience. He had served as manager over several recruitment desks across the world for MASA Israel Journey, an international nonprofit. He was recognized as the top recruiter within his first year at the organization.

Horizon Recovery appoints head of culture and brand integrity

In her new role, Maurer will lead initiatives that prioritize staff wellbeing, strengthen internal culture, and maintain brand consistency, ensuring Horizon Recovery’s voice, values, and mission remain unified and authentic from the inside out.

Gottlieb Law adds Alexander C. Schulz

Schulz joins Gottlieb from the Phoenix office of a boutique law firm, where he represented national mortgage lenders, servicers, and investors in complex litigation matters since 2014. His work there focused on real estate title and lien disputes, landlord-tenant issues, real estate litigation, bankruptcy, and foreclosure-related matters.

Over 11+ years with his former firm, he advanced to lead attorney for both the Arizona and Hawaii offices, managing heavy caseloads and supervising several paralegals and senior staff in a variety of legal areas.

Schulz is a graduate of San Diego’s Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he graduated in the top 30% of his class and served as a law clerk for the Colorado Court of Appeals, drafting legal opinions on civil cases. He holds an undergraduate degree in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and currently is licensed to practice in both Arizona and Hawaii.

He also was named to the Southwest Super Lawyers Rising Star list from 2020-22.
