Each day, we will profile an innovative leader who was selected for the 2026 edition of Az Business Leaders magazine. Today, meet Jennifer Cranston, shareholder at Gallagher & Kennedy.

Jennifer A. Cranston, Gallagher & Kennedy

Background: Cranston is a member of the firm’s board of directors. Her unique practice includes real estate litigation, insurance coverage, and utility regulation. For the past 25 years, she has counseled land developers and private property owners in condemnation actions and valuation issues.

Upcoming challenge: “Keeping pace with and carefully assessing technological developments is a significant challenge. I think it’s critical to keep an open mind, but also use core values – what is best for the firm and our clients – as touchstones in making any big decisions.”

Leadership lesson: “Even the best ideas and programs won’t be successful unless you obtain buy-in from those around you. Additionally, in trying to obtain that elusive consensus, you can receive input that improves the project in ways you didn’t expect. So, the lesson I’ve learned is to reach out and listen.”

Surprising fact: “I’ve been with the same law firm – Gallagher & Kennedy – for my entire career. And while that’s unique in our industry, two of my fellow board members at G&K share the same surprising fact.”
