Chase Bank purchased 67 acres at the Discovery Business Park in Tempe near Elliot Road and Loop 101, according to an announcement from the bank on Thursday.
Chase plans to have more than 4,000 employees on the 800,000-square-foot office campus and will be moving the first wave of employees onto the campus during the first half of 2018. The employees will come from potential growth in the market and from other Chase campuses in the area.
Chase would not disclose the cost of the campus, but said it was a multi-million dollar investment. A design and construction program for the new offices at the business park will start later this year.
In a statement released by Chase Bank Thursday afternoon, Chase stated: “This new campus will make it easier for our employees to collaborate in providing outstanding service and solutions to customers and clients around the world. We are excited about our ability to grow our business in Arizona, as well as provide facilities, work environment and accommodations our employees need and deserve.”
Brokers for the sale of the property were not disclosed. Check back for updates.
