Adopt Technologies, a cloud computing IT solutions provider for small and medium-sized businesses, partnered with Phoenix Rescue Mission to transition the local nonprofit’s in-house server infrastructure to a fully hosted and managed cloud platform.
The system was fully migrated to Adopt Technologies’ hosted cloud platform in October, which resulted in an immediate performance improvement, marking a strong start in the partnership.
The switch helps Phoenix Rescue Mission eliminate future capital expenditures related to server replacements or upgrades, improvements in system performance and support.
The upgrade improved disaster recovery, redundancy, security and management that would likely be unaffordable to build with an in-house server infrastructure.
As a part of Adopt Technologies consultative services, Phoenix Rescue Mission’s internet network architecture between its three locations was redesigned and redeployed with its internet services provider, which reduced those monthly costs by over 33 percent while increasing bandwidth by 400 percent.
“I was skeptical about moving all of Phoenix Rescue Mission’s IT software and data from our in-house server infrastructure to a cloud computing environment,” said Gary Paisley, chief financial officer at Phoenix Rescue Mission. “Our donor management and gift processing is a complex combination of software and hardware and is critical to our continued success.”
But Adopt Technologies made the transition to its cloud platform seamless and the system runs better than ever before, he said.
Phoenix Rescue Mission offers a number of Christ-centered programs and services for men, women and children in the Phoenix metro area who are struggling with homelessness, drug addiction and trauma.
