Employees of Mobile Mini, Inc., the world’s leading provider of portable storage solutions and a leading provider of tank and pump solutions in the U.S., raised more than $1,500 and donated more than 300 backpacks to local non-profits Child Crisis Arizona, A New Leaf, Playworks and also directly to St. Timothy school in Mesa, Ariz. Ten teams of 30 Mobile Mini employees competed in an intense back and forth “Pack the ‘Pack” (backpack) competition to see who could collect the most cash and supplies during the inaugural fundraiser at the company’s Phoenix headquarters. Team “Leader of the ‘Pack” was crowned 2018 champion, racking up $880 in donations and more than 1,500 supplies ranging from pens and pencils to flash drives and calculators.

“Leader of the ‘Pack” member Davida Redmond said, “Our initial company goal was 50 backpacks, and employees stepped up and blew through that. The healthy competition across all departments really brought out the best in Mobile Mini.” According to Van Welch, Mobile Mini’s Executive Vice President and CFO, “Charities depend upon the generosity of our community and support of others to deliver their mission. Our employees demonstrated their commitment to the community by their actions in providing Arizona’s children in need school supplies to start the new school year.”

“Because of Mobile Mini’s generosity, we’re able to send children in our foster care program to school confident and ready to learn,” said Torrie Taj, CEO of Child Crisis Arizona. “Year-round, Mobile Mini’s valuable financial and in-kind support makes it possible for Child Crisis Arizona to continue to provide programs helping some of Arizona’s most vulnerable children and provide resources for families in need.”
