While the holiday season is filled with joy, shopping and twinkling lights, unfortunately many don’t know where there next meal will come from. Recent statistics show that in many impoverished areas in Arizona nearly one-in-three children go hungry.
For the holiday season, Vermaland has sponsored St. Vincent de Paul’s Family Evening Meal on Dec. 23 from 4:45 to 6:30 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul’s downtown Phoenix location at 420 W. Watkins Rd. Along with several hundred meals Vermaland will be hosting, there will be small gifts for guests popcorn and carnival games for children.
“During this time of year Vermaland likes to pay it forward to the community that has supported us for so many years,” said Kuldip Verma, CEO of Vermaland. “I believe that as a company owner it is our duty to reach out and help others when they are in need. Teaming up with a wonderful organization like St. Vincent de Paul for this meal just days before Christmas will help feed those who are hungry.”
