Travis Leach, a member of Ballard Spahr’s Mergers and Acquisitions/Private Equity Group, received the 2017 Emerging Leaders Award from The M&A Advisor. The award, widely regarded as a pinnacle of achievement in the M&A industry, recognizes excellence in deal-making, restructuring, and financing, and spotlights the achievements of leading firms and professionals.

The Emerging Leaders category celebrates professionals who have reached a significant level of success in the industry before the age of 40. Winners were selected by an independent judging panel of leading M&A executives on the basis of accomplishments in the industry and service to the community.

Travis Leach — a partner in Ballard Spahr’s Phoenix office—focuses on corporate and securities law. He is co-practice leader of the firm’s Emerging Growth and Private Capital Group and its Sports practice. He represents public and private companies in public offerings, private placements, corporate governance matters, Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC compliance, and mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Leach has advised clients on hundreds of millions of dollars in acquisitions and sales. He has played a key role in Project SING, a program that helps growth-stage companies get started and thrive. He also spearheaded a partnership with CO+HOOTS in Phoenix in which Ballard Spahr attorneys discuss business ideas and challenges with young entrepreneurs at no cost. Last year, Mr. Leach was named to The Phoenix Business Journal’s 40 under 40 list.
