Esperança added McKenzie Simmons as the nonprofit’s development director, bringing 10 years of marketing, communications and fund development experience.

Simmons worked with with Girls Scouts- Arizona Cactus-Pine Council, Arizona Childcare Consultants and Cancer Support Community Arizona in the past.
Esperança is a Phoenix-based nonprofit providing programs to improve the health and well being of the world’s poor.
It provides volunteer surgical missions, health education, training of community health workers, home building, clean water projects, micro enterprise, agricultural development, dental treatment and prevention programs, and sends donated medical equipment and supplies to project sites around the world.
McKenzie holds a bachelor’s in corporate communications from the University of Kentucky and is a member of the American Express Leadership Academy at the ASU Lodestar Center Class 2016.
