Marcus & Millichap hires real estate veteran

Marcus & Millichap , a leading commercial real estate investment services firm with offices throughout the United States and Canada, today announced that Darrell Moffitt has joined the firm’s Phoenix office as a First Vice President with the firm’s National Multi Housing Group.

“Darrell’s knowledge of the multi-family market, combined with his ability to build and cultivate relationships, has yielded tremendous success for both he and his clients throughout his career. He adds experience, work ethic, and a history of collaboration to our growing sales force,” said Ryan Sarbinoff, Regional Manager of the Phoenix office. “We’re very fortunate for the opportunity to bring Darrell back home to Marcus & Millichap.”

Moffitt is a life-long Phoenician, growing up in Phoenix and attending the University of Arizona. Moffitt spent the beginning of his real estate career with Marcus & Millichap, joining the firm in 1994. Since leaving the firm in 2008, he has worked in both commercial and residential real estate selling multifamily properties with Realty Executives and Berkadia.

Plexus Worldwide adds Gareth Hooper

Gordon & Rees welcomed two new attorneys to its Phoenix office.

Rebecca Cain joins the Phoenix office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. Her experience in litigation management and practical problem solving allows clients to focus on what’s important: running their business. Her trial experience and background in accounting and business provide her insight into the difficult challenges clients face when dealing with litigation. She draws on this experience to work with clients to implement a litigation strategy that supports their business objectives and needs. Rebecca earned her J.D. from Arizona State University-Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and her B.B.A. from Gonzaga University.

Annelise Dominguez joins the Phoenix office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, she garnered experience working with division corporate counsel in the legal department of Rural/Metro Corporation. There, she focused on a wide variety of areas including commercial transactions, health care, HIPAA, contract drafting and negotiation, alternative dispute resolution, and employment law. Annelise earned her J.D. from Arizona State University-Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and her B.A. from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business.

MJ Insurance expands Phoenix office

MJ Insurance, one of the nation’s largest privately-held insurance agencies with more than five decades of success, is pleased to announce its recent hire of Sean Evans as employee benefits consultant in the Phoenix office.  

Prior to MJ Insurance, Evans served as franchise owner and operator of Jimmy Johns – Cali Subs LLC in Santa Barbara, Calif. There, he negotiated and executed leases, sourced contractors, and was responsible for the overall franchise financials and operations.

Evans will bring his business management experience to his new role at MJ Insurance where he will be responsible for proactively driving sales and service to clients by providing innovative solutions to their benefits and risk management needs.
