Dawn Gabel joins Herberger Theater board
Quarles & Brady LLP announced that Phoenix partner, Dawn Gabel has joined the Herberger Theater Center Board of Directors.
The Herberger Theater Center was built in 1989 to support, foster, and grow the performing arts community in the Valley. Each year, over 100,000 patrons, including 30,000 school-aged children experience the performing arts.
Gabel’s practice is focused on State & Local tax, representing business taxpayers and high net worth individuals. Her expertise includes sales and use tax, property tax issues and multistate income tax. Her services include transactional and planning advice as well as representation before administrative tribunals and trial and appellate courts in refund, assessment, audit and exemption litigation. She has served as a past president of the Arizona Women Lawyers Association, Maricopa Chapter, and is a subcommittee co-chair for the American Bar Association State and Local Taxes section.
DeLex Realty appoints new COO
DeLex Realty announces the appointment of Jeffrey Smith to the position of Chief Operating Officer. In his role, Smith uses his experience to propel DeLex Realty to further success in the luxury real estate market.

Smith has served in the real estate and mortgage industries for more than 25 years, and through his own company JSSmith, LLC, he has been contracted to provide enhanced in-house affiliated services and revenues as well as assist in expansion and recruiting efforts for real estate and mortgage companies. Previously, Smith served at the helm of the luxury division of West USA realty, The Gallery Collection, a leader in marketing and selling high-end luxury homes in the Phoenix metro area.
Michelle Quintanilla elected to SB&H board
Southwest Behavioral & Health Services (SB&H) announced it has elected Michelle Quintanilla, vice president of inventory management and planning for Freeport-McMoRan, to serve on its Board of Directors. In this role, Quintanilla will be collaborating with other members of the Board of Directors to further SB&H’s reputation as an innovative leader in behavioral health and the mission of continuing to improve the communities the organization serves.
“On behalf of Matt Hatfield, our chairperson, and the other members of our Board of Directors, we are honored to have Michelle as part of our volunteer leadership here at Southwest Behavioral & Health Services,” said Jeff Jorde, M.Ed., president and CEO of SB&H. “Her involvement within the community is inspiring and will only help to strengthen our Board and SB&H as a whole.”
Quintanilla earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Arizona and her MBA from the University of Phoenix. She is a CPA, as well as a member of the Arizona Town Hall Board of Directors, the Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations and the Soroptimist International of Phoenix.
