SCS Engineers welcomes Dana Justice to Phoenix
SCS Engineers’ Arizona office is continuing to grow with the addition of Dana Justice, a marketing specialist, who previously worked at the award-winning firm’s office in San Diego.
“Dana brings fresh ideas, strong problem-solving skills, and creative business development tactics to the Arizona office,” said Dan Sola, Arizona project director of SCS Engineers.
Justice is responsible for supporting marketing and business development in Arizona, Nevada, and California for environmental services. Her job responsibilities include engaging in business development outreach and continuing to strengthen the firm’s client success culture. As an employee-owned environmental consultant and contractor, SCS excels at accomplishing specific technical needs and high quality but also strives to provide a superior working relationship with their clients.
“SCS has great company culture with a sense of family among the staff,” Justice said. “I’m thrilled to take on a larger role in the Southwestern region and new responsibilities at SCS.”
Bell Bank promotes Denise Holm to VP/branch manager
Denise Holm has been promoted to VP/branch manager at Bell Bank, located at 1850 East Northrop Blvd in Chandler, Ariz. In her new position, Holm will assist new and existing customers with personal and business checking and savings accounts, as well as loan products. She will perform all branch management duties of supervising, scheduling, reporting, auditing and compliance.
Originally from Leeds, N.D., Holm attended North Dakota State University and St. Luke’s School of Nursing. She has been in the banking industry for more than 30 years. She worked for 18 years at Alerus Financial, joining Bell Bank in 2007. She previously held positions in the cash management division.
Holm lives in Gilbert with her husband, Jeff. They have three children and grandchildren.
Samantha McAlpin selected as a top pro bono attorney
Gust Rosenfeld announced that Samantha Winter McAlpin was selected as one of the 2019 recipients of the Top Pro Bono Attorney in Arizona award by the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services & Education. She will receive the award at a luncheon on Thursday, June 27, 2019, in conjunction with the Annual Arizona State Bar Convention.
The Foundation instituted the award in 2001 to recognize attorneys who have tirelessly given their time and expertise to assist those who would not otherwise have access to legal representation. Samantha was nominated by the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project, where she represents detained children in deportation proceedings. In addition to her work with the Florence Project, Samantha donates her time as a volunteer judge at Arizona High School Mock Trial Tournaments.
Samantha focuses her practice on family estates and trusts. She advises clients in the area of estate planning, including wills, trusts, probate administration, trust administration, guardianships, conservatorships, and taxation. Samantha also litigates contested probate and trust claims involving trustees, personal representatives, beneficiaries, and the exploitation of vulnerable adults.
Accelerated Development Services adds VP
Accelerated Development Services announced that Dave Lambert has been hired as the Vice President of Construction Management for the company. A 25 year veteran in the construction arena, Dave’s experience includes commercial and multi-family experience for projects totaling over $205 million.
“As our project base has grown, Dave will be critical to providing superior oversight to each of our projects starting prior to our site acquisition through the project close-out,” said Trey Eakin, Executive Vice President of Accelerated Development Services, a division of Velocity Retail Group.
Dave has a diverse background spanning over two decades in Arizona with commercial projects that encompass ground up as well as redevelopment projects. He is well versed in all aspects of construction and construction management and will be able to bring this background to the table for each of the company’s projects. This well-rounded skill set will ultimately provide more creative and affordable solutions for the retailers that Accelerated Development Services partners with during their expansions throughout the Western U.S.

LevRose Commercial Real Estate, one of the Valley’s leading commercial real estate firms, recently added Austin Knebel as an advisor to its growing team. Knebel will specialize in selling and leasing properties throughout Scottsdale, Tempe and downtown Phoenix.
Knebel gained strong management and problem-solving skills through numerous leadership positions throughout his career. Prior to LevRose, Knebel was a senior manager of strategic initiatives at Katerra Inc., a fast-paced construction company where he helped the company scale from a small start-up to a billion dollar business. Before Katerra, Knebel was also a senior strategy associate at Univar in Chicago and an investment banker at UBS in London and South East Asia where he worked while obtaining his MBA.

Originally from Iowa, Knebel moved to the Valley of the Sun to receive his Bachelor of Science degree in management and finance at Arizona State University.
