Small Giants expands with design and marketing coordinator

Small Giants, LLC., a rapidly growing creative marketing agency in Phoenix and Denver, has hired Margaret Kinsey as design and marketing coordinator to support the creative team with graphic design needs for digital and traditional marketing collateral. Kinsey will also work with the marketing team to develop compelling proposals for clients.

“Margaret’s hands-on industry experience brings a unique blend to the marketing and design teams that allows for true collaboration to fully serve our clients,” said Danielle Feroleto, founder and president of Small Giants.

Margaret brings three years of design and proposal experience in the A/E/C industry. Having previously worked in a marketing role at an architecture firm, Bettisworth North Architects and Planners Inc., Margaret will support Small Giants’ clients by creating, editing and designing content for proposals, awards submittals and marketing content.

“I’m eager to use my passion with this new position. I love seeing the life of a project take place: from the initial concepts to a completed structure in use and appreciated by the community,” said Kinsey.

She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois at Chicago, studying fine arts, design and art history. She is a member of Society for Marketing Professional Services.

Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa hires GM

Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch has named Dena Roady General Manager of the 493-room, world-class resort. After graduating from California State University Chico with her Bachelor of Science in Resort and Lodging Management, Roady began her 22 year career as a Corporate Management Trainee at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach. She has since managed on-site teams at Hyatt properties in Kauai, San Francisco, California, Texas, Florida and most recently as General Manager of the Andaz 5th Avenue in New York City. Additionally, she was a Corporate Rooms Manager at Hyatt’s Corporate office in Chicago where she opened 7 hotels, including 4 acquisitions into the Hyatt Brand. She returns to Hyatt Regency Scottsdale where she was Senior Director of Rooms from 2010-2012.

Ottawa University Arizona fills several leadership roles

Ottawa University Arizona (OUAZ) has recently hired a director of club sports and activity programs, four club program managers/coaches, a marketing manager, and a new student admissions coordinator. 

The director of club sports and activity programs and club program managers were hired as part of OUAZ’s enhanced educational model to include club sports and activities, cultivating community by creating valuable learning experiences. 

Kevin Andres, director of club sports and activity programs ,will lead all of the programs and the related student recruiting. He previously served as the recreation sports, wellness and physical education director at Mercer College in Georgia and most recently as head wrestling coach at Ottawa’s Kansas campus. New OUAZ program managers/coaches:

• Jennifer Bullard (Bowling) – Bullard is currently the Bowling League Coordinator at Uptown Alley in Surprise

• Andrew Dunn (Men’s Lacrosse) – Dunn previously served as head varsity lacrosse coach for Hudsonville High School in Michigan

• James Gant (Ultimate Frisbee) – Gant previously served as a Marine Corps Administration and Recruitment Officer

• Zach Tobey (Outdoor Adventure) – Tobey is an avid hiker and outdoor enthusiast

The marketing and admissions positions were added to meet the demand arising from OUAZ’s rapidly growing enrollments. Enrollment of undergraduate and graduate students reached 434 in the fall, a nearly 50% increase over original projections of 300 students for 2017-2018 and is expected to be in the 600 student range for this coming August.

Freda Richards, the new marketing manager, has experience in designing and managing websites, creating graphics and content for print marketing, creating promotional videos, and managing technical productions and equipment. She has a master’s degree in multimedia from the Academy of Art University and a bachelor’s degree in communications from Grand Canyon University. 

Andrea Wilson, the new student coordinator in the Admissions Department, is an Ottawa University graduate. She will be responsible for coordinating and executing all admissions campus events, coordinating campus marketing materials and student admissions files and supporting the admissions and student ambassador teams.
