Phoenix’s richest is Discount Tire’s Founder Bruce Halle, who’s net worth is a healthy $5.3 billion, according to Forbes.
Halle founded Discount Tire in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1960, and later moved the company’s corporate headquarters to sunny Scottsdale in 1987.
The “Guinness Book of World Records” even recognized Halle’s company this year for having the world’s longest running TV ad called “Thank You.” And yes, it is that very familiar commercial with the old lady throwing the tire at the window.
