Source of pride:The ability to build and lead an effective team and, working with our state’s elected representatives, to have positive impact on the development of policy that creates an environment for prosperity all of our citizens.”

The personality trait that helped you succeed:Bar none, resilience. In my experience success comes from not giving up, ever, even when you really want to.”

The personality trait that got you into trouble:Persistence – I have a tendency to refuse to take no for an answer, to always seek out a better solution. On occasion, a better way does not exist or is simply unattainable under prevailing circumstances.”

Best childhood memory:I will answer by sharing my best childhood experience, which was to spend much of my youth growing up in Brazil and Honduras. I learned that despite the clear cultural differences, we all want the same things. Happiness and a better life for our families.”
